Children are natural yogis as their little bodies seek order and movement. Classes are delivered in a fun and engaging way where the emphasis is on encouraging the children to try poses without feeling pressure to do them correctly. They learn breathing exercises and how to breathe well and deeply. They learn how to relax and how to enjoy the feeling of relaxation. We use small props to make the classes more interesting and to keep the children’s attention. Sometimes the children work with a partner in the group too...partner exercises are great fun! Classes may have a particular theme; for example colours, animals, seasons, festivals or we may choose to develop a class following the children’s own interests for example the seaside, circus etc.
Children’s Yoga Classes help to develop and improve motor skills as well as physical fitness, develop awareness of the senses, enhance imagination and creativity, develop language and communication skills and build social skills.
Although the classes will be structured Debbie will always use her expertise to ensure she observes the collective as well as the individual needs of the children and will adapt the lesson accordingly.
Classes run as blocks so please contact us to sign up for the next available block: firstname.lastname@example.org
Children attending the classes should wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercising and may wish to bring a small water bottle with them.
We have a few pop-up kids yoga classes at Gallery48 in Dundee. They are 45min classes, parents can stay and will be treated with a coffee and a slice of cake.

Yoga & Mindfulness for Schools is part of a DP Wellbeing outreach programme that helps kids embrace their full potential and live their lives with joy, knowing that the world holds great wonders for them and that they have great gifts to share with the world.
Our programme integrates yoga and mindfulness into a learning experience with an approach that’s fun, empowering and fully capable of reaching ALL students. By adding movement to the classroom, you can help your students be happier and healthier — and make deeper associations to curriculum content.
By teaching students to practice mindfulness, we also help them become more in control of their thoughts and emotions — leading to improved behavior, focus and concentration.
